Inshore Fishermen's Association
Purpose:
The purpose of this association is to create group of fishermen who
have interests in fishing in the state waters of Massachusetts, who
will act as a unified voice to the regulatory/management authorities on
issues which affect our interest's. This association's membership is not
limited to any specific user group, except that it's members all have
an interest in the quality of our fisheries and their access to them.
For the first year of the association, there will be no elected
directors, instead 3 persons shall act as representatives of the
association to the regulatory authorities, these persons names will be
listed on the membership list and their effective responsibility shall
expire March 1'st, 2009.
This association shall elect 3 co-directors, who will act in the
interest of the association. They will be elected by the vote of
all members, by majority rule. These rules shall expire coincidentally,
then
be reconsidered and modified if deemed necessary by the association
membership at that time.

read them and if you

THE RULES:
1. You must be a Massachusetts resident.
2. By submitting you application for membership you are agreeing to the
following:
By submitting your application, you acknowledge and agree
to be subscribed to the association mailing list.
You acknowledge that the association will communicate to you any and
all matters that affect it's members, via email
and it's web site and that you will be responsible for maintaining an
email address by which the association can contact you.
3. You grant the association the right of including your name by
membership, as an endorser of any and all comments or proposals
made to the following regulatory authorities, including but not limited to; Massachusetts Division of Marine
Fisheries, The National Marine Fisheries Service,
The New England Fisheries Management Council, The Atlantic States
Marine Fisheries Commission and The Mid Atlantic Fisheries Management
Council.
This association shall make from time to time different various request
for regulations changes or comments on various proposals from
regulatory authorities, such petitions or comments shall be posted at
the association's web site and also made available via the members
mailing list, before such petitions or comments are submitted.
4. You agree to have your name displayed on the association's web
site members list.
